Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) antibody test
Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers FDA-authorized COVID-19 antibody tests.
Your costs in Original Medicare
You pay nothing for these tests when your Medicare-enrolled doctor orders them, and you get them from a laboratory (including at a pharmacy, clinic, or doctor’s office) or hospital.
What it is
These tests check to find out if you’ve developed an immune response to COVID-19, and may not be at immediate risk of reinfection.
Things to know
Medicare also covers COVID-19 diagnostic tests, COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatments, and COVID-19 vaccines.
